The Wonder of Wonders

Ahhh December!! I love this month for two reasons! It means we soon get to experience a brand new year with no mistakes in it yet!! And it is CHRISTMAS  the time when we celebrate Jesus birth and remember what He did for us, coming down from the splendor of Heaven to be born as a little babe in human flesh to one day be crucified on the cross for my sins and the sins of the world!! I thank the Lord that He was willing to suffer all that just so that one day I might go live with Him in eternity!

Here is the lyrics to one of my favorite songs that speaks about how miraculous it was to have Jesus on this earth!

The Wonder of Wonders
word & music by charles b. wycuff
verse 1
the wonder of wonders as she looked on his face that this little boy spoke the worlds in their place the stars and the moon, shinning brightly on them the earth and the sun were created by him

chorus
the wonder of wonders oh how could it be that God became flesh and was given for me the almighty came down and walked among men the wonder of wonders he died for my sin

verse2
the wonder of wonders as she heard his small cry that this voice had thundered on mount sinai the hand that she held so tenderly had made a dry path thru the mighty red sea

verse 3
the wonder of wonders as she looked down and smiled that he was her maker as well as her child he created the womb that had given him birth he was God incarnate come down to the earth.

verse 4
the wonder of wonders as a father looked on in eternity past this was his son had sent him to die on calvary's tree
and that is the wonder of wonders to me

chorus
the wonder of wonders oh how could it be that God became flesh and was given for me the almighty came down and walked among men the wonder of wonders he died for my sin

About Me Page (updated)

My sister and I on her wedding day 9/19/2015

Life is taking me on an amazing journey, and the Lord has been faithful and true in guiding me along the way!! It hasn't always been easy in fact sometimes it seemed downright unbearable ,but the Lord didn't promise an easy road just help for the way. And He also promised that he wouldn't give us more than we can bear!

1 Corinthians 10:13

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Wow such a rich promise!! And we can use him as an escape any time we face trials and temptations! God is so Good. Only in recent years have I discovered how much he means to me in my life!

For the past year I have been living in Aroda, Virginia and what an experience it has been!! A year ago I never would have dreampt  that I would have had the privilege to experience all the wonderful things that I have here at Mountain View. It has in no way always been easy in fact it has been very stretching and has made me grow more than I ever have in any stage of life!! The Lord is very real here and He is brought into everything we do, In our work, play, and sleep!! This place is very spiritually filling and has very rich soil to grow in!! PRAISE THE LORD!!

I am in Housekeeping. This past summer I was the fill in housekeeping supervisor, because the former supervisor is now our Dean of Women and I just filled in until the new supervisor came in August. That was very challenging and I now have a new appreciation for all that those in charge do around here. They have alot to keep straight! We clean approximately 20 toilets, 60 sinks/mirrors, and  23 floors a day!! It keeps us very busy and we also keep up with all the guest houses when guest come to stay!! I love my job and the amazing people God has given me to work with!!

So that is my life right now!! I have no idea what God has in store for the future!! Lord willing I will be moving back home in April. I have no job as of yet ,but do plan on continuing with the dogs when I get back, but I am not overly concerned about the rest of the details they will fall into place!! May the Lord Bless you!! ~Rose Mary

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord ,
thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

God's Call!!

We as Christians are called to several things on this earth and two of them are:

To spread the gospel to all corners of the world!
For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying , I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.
-Acts 13:47

And to honor and glorify God with our lives!!
-Matthew 5:16
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

There is a song that has been running through my head recently and it talks about letting those around us know about our faith in Christ.

Anywhere you go any country road or city street ,a lonely life ,a hurting heart, somebody in need ,they all ask one thing ,where is love and truth. But if you know Jesus ,then you know what to do!

[chorus]
Shine the light, share your faith
Show the world that Jesus is the answer, that Jesus is the way, together we can make a difference.
Be a beacon in the dark of night. Share your faith, hold it high, shine the light.

What am I doing in this world to show them about Jesus? Are there people right beside me that are lonely, hurting, or crying out for someone to help them?  We don't have to go to far away countries to find needy hurting people ,we have them right here in America! (I am in no way saying that there aren't needs around the world in foreign lands ,but sometimes I believe we forget about those right beside us)

There is a call for every believer to be a light and beacon of hope for those around us. We can be witnesses for Christ right where we are planted. God has a plan and a purpose for every single person he has placed on this earth!! And he loves every human being very dearly, and he wants every single one of us to live with him in Glory someday!!

God has called us his own!!!
2 Timothy 1:9
Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

May God richly Bless you!!
Until Next Time!! -Rose Mary

Busy October!!

November is upon us already!! So much happened last month. We were quite busy in the housekeeping department!! We had quite a few guests come in and out so we had guesthouses that needed cleaned about once a week! I love the job of cleaning up after people leave!!

I did quite a few random things with people this past month!!And............ I bought a fish!
He has yet to be named with a name that I actually like. He was in the middles of the living room floor the day I bought him and several of the girls were throwing name ideas around and they have yet to come up with one I like. The two main ones were Buzz (just for the record I very much despise that name) and Sammy (which isn't so bad but it just doesn't fit him)!! All the girls love him and come to visit him occasionally!!

This month has been full but good!! The one Wednesday afternoon one of the girls and I decided to go to Panera bread because she had never eaten there and she wanted to try it out!! We had such a fun time we discussed life and got to try some really good food!! And we had a very memorable ride home because I drove her car which is a manual and I haven't had tons of experience driving those but we got home safely and I only stalled once :)

The next day I had off and the girls and I that were off decided to go to McDonald's for breakfast at 11:00 (since they now have all day breakfast) we sat at the restaurant for about an hour and a half just laughing and talking it was a really fun time!! Then Heidi and I went down to the Pond and sat on the dock for most of the afternoon journaling and reading!! Later in the evening we went to the creek and waded in the creek and sat on the bridge and just enjoyed nature!!

Dorothy one of my really good friends from Mountain View was back to visit because she now has moved home. And while she was here we decided to do something fun together and we went to the Inn at Willowgrove once again!! We went on Wednesday evening because they have a sample menu where you can sample a little portion of their menu for $5. It was pouring down rain when we went but that just made it even better because the last time we went it was raining as well. It didn't lack for conversation because her and I can talk about anything and everything!!

On the first weekend of November I went and visited my sister and her husband down in Gladys Virginia. It was a very fun weekend but it rained all weekend so we didn't do anything outside. On Saturday we went and had a hotdog roast with Tyler's family and then on Sunday we went to church in the morning and in the evening ,but in the afternoon Ruth Ann and I played the game "in a pickle". On Monday it was great to hang out with Ruth Ann we sat and talked for about two hours and then we did her laundry and bake some crescent rolls and just had a lot of fun hanging out as sisters again!!

Yesterday a whole group of 20 of the staff went on a day off together for the last day off that five of them will have because they are farewelling this weekend. We had such a good day! We went to a cabin overnight and after getting smoked out of the cabin. Due to the fact that they started the fire without opening the chimney ;) (made for an interesting few first hours) we then settled down and played games and chatted and ate!! Then some of us went downstairs and went to bed after we laughed and talked about snakes first (and one of the girls had dreams about snakes then:) We had a girls party!! Then the next morning we slept until 10:30 because it was so pitch black in the basement that we didn't notice it got daylight. We went upstairs and ate breakfast and then we had a very good devotional and had a good group discussion about thinking about every word we say or if it is uplifting and kind when speaking of others! Some of us then went on a walk while others played cornhole. We then decided to take a group picture (which took 15 min to set up)!!

Well I hope you all have an amazing month!! And don't forget to thank God for everything in your life blessings and trials because they all happen for a reason even though sometimes they may be a bit unwelcomed. And thank Him for those around you because they are a blessing. Happy Thanksgiving!
Until Next Time, Rose Mary

New Jersey Trip!!

Saturday was a beautiful morning to be driving!! We left early Saturday morning at 5 o'clock in the morning to head to a wedding in New Jersey. There was five of us in the van and we all know each other well so the chatter was lively. We headed north and it got colder as we went along. About 830 we all were a bit hungry so we stopped at a McDonald's to get some breakfast. We arrived at the church and about 9:30.

The wedding started at 10:30 and it was such a beautiful wedding. the message was on "the joy of life in Christ". We had a 25 minute drive to the reception. So until we got sat down and served our food it was 2:30 and the wedding wasn't over until 4:00. It was a long wedding and we still had four hours to drive home.

I got behind the wheel for the long trek home. We left at 5:00 and chatted and laughed the whole way home and didn't arrive at Mountain View until 10:00 it was a long day we were wore out but we were happy!!

Today I have off and have plans of going shopping so it should be a good relaxing day. I hope you all had an amazing week we have revivals at the church here this week so we have church every evening it should be an interesting week!!

Until Next time!! ~Rose Mary

September/Wedding!!

This month has been an amazing month so far!! On September 11 my future brother-in-law pick me up and took me along with him to my house. That weekend was filled with horseback riding, eating at Applebee's,running through the rain , And eating out with the family.

I was at home September 11–23 it was an amazing week and a half. The first week I spent a lot of time with Ruth Ann before she got married. Monday and Tuesday we worked on wedding things Monday evening our family went to Olive Garden to celebrate mom and dad's birthdays!!

Wednesday we went and got wedding shoes and had a dress fitting. Thursday we went shopping in the morning for some things that Ruth Ann needed for her wedding day. Then in the afternoon we gave both of her horses a bath and both her dogs a bath!! And in the afternoon we went shopping at Walmart with her cousins. And that evening our cousins and Tyler and Ruth Ann and I went out to eat at a Chinese restaurant and then we decided to go to the fair and we ate cotton candy and popcorn and rode the rides!!

Friday was the day of the reception set up and the rehearsal. Set up took most of the morning and some of the afternoon. It looked beautiful by the time we were done!!

Then Friday evening was a rehearsal and one of the girls that wasn't there for the dress fitting had her dress fitting that evening. It all went well and I think we pretty much knew what we needed to do the next day!!

Then came the Big day. The day they had been waiting for, for seven months!! We got up at 5:00! And started taking pictures at 6:15 ,they did a first look. It was a gorgeous day to take pictures it was nice and foggy and beautiful lighting. We took pictures with all the bridal party starting at 7:45 and got done with that about 9:00 and then they went up to the horses and took pictures with the horses!! We then got back to the house and put Ruth Ann's dress on the table and scrubbed all the stains out before the wedding.

We then went up to the church and ate lunch and then took family pictures. We then had a meeting with the ministry and all the bridal party and both sets of parents and the couple. Then it was time for the ceremony. Everything went great and nobody messed up :-). And
Tyler ❤️ Ruth Ann were officially married!!
We then went over to the reception hall and took a few more pictures and mingled for a while and then the bridal party went in and sat down. We then ate. The menu consisted of:
Roast beef, ham loaf, mashed potatoes, carrots, green beans, and cake and ice cream. We then signed our names on the witness spot on the marriage certificate and then the happy couple headed out for their honeymoon. We then cleaned up the reception hall and headed home at about 7:00 that evening.

Sunday was a very wonderful day we went to church in the morning and I slept most of the rest of the day and then dad's family got together that evening.

Monday I helped mom unpack some boxes that were in the garage and cleaned up the basement. And I also am finally moved into my room at our new house!!

Then Monday evening my cousin came and slept overnight and she helped us take a load to Goodwill and go furniture shopping on Tuesday and we bought some couches and chairs for down in the basement. Tuesday evening I went and visited my aunt and uncle and I was there all evening and we had a very nice visit!!

Wednesday I washed my new vehicle and change the power steering fluid and fix the ceiling. And I showed mom how to do some things with the dogs now that Ruth Ann is not going to be there to help her. And then it was time to leave and I met up with one of the girls that was heading down to Mountain View and we arrived back home at about 8:30 Wednesday night!!

On Friday night one of my really good friends and I from Mountain View went out to eat at a Chinese place. We usually do something about once a month but this is our last thing now before she leaves she is farewelling on Saturday.

It was really great being at home but it is really great to be back here at Mountain View again and getting back into the swing of things again. Hope y'all have a great month!! Until Next Time!!

Surprise, Surprise!!!

Hello from the gorgeous south!! We are having amazing weather right now!! Today I had off and we had a campfire in the morning and made our breakfast over it and then we went to a park and played tennis and table games and went for walks!! It was so nice to be able to sleep in and have a very relaxing day!

The other morning I was doing laundry and I can see the mountains out the window and I looked up and saw this
They were just beautiful that morning as they are many mornings!!

So yesterday I got this mysterious box in the mail!!
They are choclate covered strawberries!! And they were delicious!! And whoever sent them (they didn't sign their name) thank you it made my day so much brighter!!

God is good all the time, and all the time God is good. Sometimes this is so hard to remember when the everyday things of life just seem to be overwhelming. This was how I was beginning to feel but then some very good friends came along side me and reminded me once again that God is with me and I am not in this alone and that I am loved by Him and them very much. This is what I love about the Christian Brotherhood they encourage and help you along in this race that we call life!! And I just want to thank and praise God for all the many blessings he has given me!! Family, friends, and of course my dogs, and many more!! But most of all for his love, mercy, and grace he shows to me every day!!

That was a bit of a bunny trail but it was just a good reminder to be thankful for what I have when I got those choclates!!
This month has been filled with many pictures with friends coffe dates or out to eat or shopping with friends. I have gotten to know the girls that I live and work with so much better! I love them all dearly!! My new housekeeping supervisor is coming this weekend and that will be a nice break from all my extra responsibilities. And we are getting a new doormie this weekend as well!!

All the puppies went to their new homes as well last Monday. I wasn't there to bid them farewell and only saw them twice. It was really sad for me but I can ve with our next litter of goldens :). One of the couples that bought a puppy from Duke and Matilda's first litter 2 years ago bought another puppy from us from this past litter and they sent me some adorable pictures of how they are getting along!!

Aren't they so adorable together? Oh it just makes me want to squish them into a giant hug!! If you ever bought a puppy from us or you have a cute puppy picture don't be afraid to share :)!!

Well that is all for now!! Until next time!
God Bless,
Rose Mary

Condemnation??

A word I have been thinking alot about lately is "condemnation". I have been hearing and reading a lot of people condemning others especially with all the news about the Ashley Madison and Josh Duggar scandals.

But I have to wonder. Are we any better than them? Before you reply with a yes just ponder with me for a moment........

When was the last time you told a lie
or untruth to make yourself look good?

Or when was the last time a friend, a
    social event,money, etc. was higher
priority over time with God or the
    Bible? (Dieteronomy 5:7 says thou
shalt have no god before me)

Or when was the last time you said a
curse word when you were mad or
in a conversation? (Thou shalt not take
the name of the Lord thy God in vain)

These are just a few examples. You may think that's not as bad as committing adultery or sexually abusing girls. But, God doesn't have a sin scale one isn't worse than the other. They are all sin and God looks at sin as an abomination to his Holy word and the standard He has set for us as Christians.

In 1 John 3:15 (New Living Translation)
"Anyone who hates his brother is really a murderer at heart. And you know that murderers don't have eternal life within them.
{This gives a very good view of how God looks at sin. He takes it very seriously. And we should too.

One story in the Bible that comes to mind is in John 8:1-11 New Living Translation

A Woman Caught in Adultery

1Jesus returned to the Mount of Olives, but early the next morning he was back again at the Temple. A crowd soon gathered, and he sat down and taught them. As he was speaking, the teachers of religious law and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in the act of adultery. They put her in front of the crowd.

“Teacher,” they said to Jesus, “this woman was caught in the act of adultery. The law of Moses says to stone her. What do you say?”

They were trying to trap him into saying something they could use against him, but Jesus stooped down and wrote in the dust with his finger. They kept demanding an answer, so he stood up again and said, “All right, but let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone!” Then he stooped down again and wrote in the dust.

When the accusers heard this, they slipped away one by one, beginning with the oldest, until only Jesus was left in the middle of the crowd with the woman. 10 Then Jesus stood up again and said to the woman, “Where are your accusers? Didn’t even one of them condemn you?”

11 “No, Lord,” she said.

And Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn thee. Go and sin no more.”

Looking at this passage Jesus told them that any among them that was without sin should throw the first stone. None of them could because as Romans 3:23 says "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" all of us are sinners. Not some worse than others just sinners, and Jesus came to this earth to die for all of us not just the really bad people.

Some may look at this and say well that's hopeless I'll never make it into heaven. That is where the grace of God comes in. If you are truly repented of your sins and asked for forgiveness and are trying to follow God with your whole heart and are obeying his commandments then by grace are you saved.

It's not because we deserve it or anything we have done. It is because God loved us enough to send his only son to die so that we might be saved. Yes, we will mess up and make mistakes, we are human. If we are willing to admit we were wrong and ask God for forgiveness then we can enter into the kingdom of heaven.

John 3:16-21

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

God has set the standard for us to live by. Not to constrict us or to be mean. But because he is a God of order and he wants his children to live that way as well. And his greatest desire is for all his people to live with him in heaven one day!!

Well these are my thoughts right now. And I hope they made sense. My greatest burden in sharing these thoughts with you is that people may realize that yes, we as Christians make mistakes and yes, we are held to a higher standard ,but please before you judge others too harshly look at your life first.

  May God richly bless you,

   ~Rose Mary

August Update

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery ,but today i s a gift. That's why we call it the present!!

I love this quote because it shows how fleeting life is and how precious each moment is and that we aren't guaranteed another breath.

The end of July beginning of August has already been very busy. I went home for 5 days this past weekend. It was funny going to our new place instead of the farm. It was a busy weekend. We had a bridal shower for Ruth Ann. And her and I hung out alot we went out to eat twice and went shopping. It was great to hang out with her again before she gets married. I played with my dogs and let them run in the pasture. And of course cuddled with my puppies. We also had a 25th anniversary party for my parents!!

This week we have a youth group here at Mountain View and they have been cleaning up a storm. We generally have youth come in from other areas to do all our deep cleaning for us. It is so great to have them around especially since I know some of them. It is awesome cause we have volleyball every night and lots of hanging out!! Fun times!!

Hope you all have a good week!! Until next time!!
