Well well what to write :) I have been super usy here of late but I guess I always say that. This week we have been fetching tractors, tearing apart tractors, and selling and loading LOTS of tractors (which is a good thing due to how many tractors we have) , and canning tomatoes!

Marked the first year of Matilda's life. Wow can't believe she is already one the year has went by SO fast! I got a treat and some special wet dog food that I always get on thier birthdays and they always get new tennis balls I did something different too I got her a party hat!!!! LOL I know I spoil them rotten but it doesn't cost much if you shop right!
This also made me miss Sasha wich may sound dumb to some people but to think a year ago I was so worried about her because she had surgery that day and we spent a good majority of the day at the vet. We also hapened to can tomatoes the same day as well thats why me and dad were at the vet cause mom had to stay home!
DUke is growing up SO fast I got my camera out to take pictures I guess what they say about children can also apply to dogs :) I believe I took more pictures of Matilda than I am Duke!
Training has been going slowly right now with Matilda some of the reason is we've been working late in the shop and I haven't had alot of time before bed! But being busy at work is a good thing! We have been working on "Heel" I would love to take her down to the kennel down from us a bit and have him show me how to do it cause for some reason I just can't get it and it is frustrating for me and her.
Duke has been doing good in the sit we had a training session awhile back for "sit" and I didn't think it helped much or got through but the other day when I was taking pictures I gave him the cue to "sit" and he sat ( I do all my training with mostly cues) I was SO proud!
Well I should go work! TTYL:)

CU A MUST
Control Unleashed®: The Puppy Program is meant as "preventive medicine" for
puppy raisers. Many common behavior problems can be either prevented or
minimized by starting a puppy with good foundation training from the beginning.
In addition, this book provides a program that will help you create a puppy that
is ready for sport-specific training at the appropriate age-a puppy with the
ability to focus on whatever you want, for as long as you want, whenever you
want.
Book I am reading!! A MUST for every dog owner!
Frustrations but we're getting there!
Oh my what to do what to do I have tried everything in the book I would like Matilda to walk on the leash without a chocker, head halti collar thing, or anything ,but me the regular collar and the leash (any suggestions)?
I am reading a book called Control Unleashed (the puppy program) If I could just sit down and think abot nothing else for about 4 hours I could read it.
I did try something else today called a heeling leash such as this and she seeme to do pretty well on it but we shall see she doesn't pull nearly as bad as what she did at one time but I would like a dog who can go on a walk without trying to take my arm off my body at the same time!
Duke is something totally different and I have to try so hard not to compare the two because I learned when you do that you can't get anywhere with either of them cause you are always like oh so and so does this why can't you do that too. Anyways Duke noramally came when calle d and he is getting into a bad habit where he'll be like oh I'll come when I feel like coming so what I did was I got a coke bottle and put a few rocks in it and started to whenever he doesn't come immediatly when called I will shake it and it has seemed to help some!
One thing I love about Duke is he picks things up very easily and once he has it he HAS IT!! Something I have been working on is that whenever I opened his gate he wants to jump out right away and here on the farm that is NOT a good idea so we have been letting his gate open and at first stand outside and say "No" very firmly and if he begins to come down gently tap his nose a little and say "NO". He has gotten to the point wher we can leave his door open go get water for the dogs feed them and he stays right where he belongs! So proud!
One thing I have to say for Matilda she sits and stays and when you open her door she will stay as well and it isn't even something I nescesarily even taught her just something she does she will look at you like "is it ok for me to come now" :) She is such a sweetheart when she wants to be LOL!
The other day we were working on SIT and STAY and it was so funny I tolde her to sit and I went about two feet away from her and told her to stay she stayed! And she even sat through the cat coming over rubbing against me and sitting on my lap for a good amount of time! So Proud of her!!

SMBI!
Sunday August 12, 2012
Wow it was an interesting day I went to church in the morning and then headed up to on of our youth leaders in the afernoon to go with them to meet everyone else to head up to SMBI! What an interesting ride it was my friend Evie and I talked a good bit of the way about her job and family and about my job (and it turns out they own a Cub Cadet too)! When we arrived we unloaded the trailer and unocked the school and when I walked throught the door it smelled vey musty and like old air LOL. We all took our luggage to our dorms and got settled in. After that me and Evie went down and helped get snack ready to eat (I had forgotten we were supposed to eat before we left so I was HUNGRY)! After snack we helped wash the dishes then we went out to the public lounge and watched the boys try and kill each other by jumping on top of each other (I was surprised that there were no broken ribs by the time we left there). I headed up to bed and Evie followed me up and we talked until 12:00 it was a good day!!!
Monday, August 13, 2012
BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP yup the alarm already it was 6:00 am that I got up and got dresse and headed down stairs cause we had to be ready to work by 7:30 I went down stairs and everyone was sitting down at the breakfast table I didn't eat cause I don't care for cereal!
After breakfast we all went into the public lounge and Randy Risser had the devotions for the day he talked about everyone working together wich I thought was a good subject since the guys and girls worked together on some things!
After devotions Kevin gave everyone thier chores for the day! The guys washed the roof, fixed/serviced the tractor, mowed the yard, and pulled weeds. The girls cleaned the apartments!
We headed out to one of the apartments about a mile away and Clyde drove wich was interesting :) and as Josh would say it he "supervised".
There was three apartments in every house and it was quit dirty But it was fun to clean cause you felt like you actually cleaned something by the time you were done!
We got the house done in two hours just in time for brunch at 10. So we headed back to the school ate and had half an hour to goof off we all were sitting in the public lounge again watching the guys amuze themselves.
When the break was over we headed up to the girls dorm and started to clean there all our dorms were clean so we just put all the luggage outside or under the beds and got right into cleaning the guys pulled all the furniture away from the walls and the two Sonyas' supervises LOL (funny to watch and hear) I cleaned he laundry, showers and doors.
After we were finished with that it was about 1:00 So we headed down to the guys dorm. WOW totally different everything was dirtier :) it took us till 4:00 (quitting time) to finish that I cleaned all the showers, vanities, mirrors, and the closet/doorway where they keep all thier sports equipment.
At 5 we sat down to eat and then we headed to the lounge and some people played volleyball and some just sat down and talked cause we were all wore out!
Tuesday, August 14, 2012
Yup gettin up at 6 again and that seams really early when you go to bed at 2am but it was fun! At 7:30 Josiah Brubaker had devotions and then we all headed out to do our own things Charlotte and went over to the administrators house and cleaned thier windows for them then we went back over to the school and helped clean the chapel and the classrooms! By the time we were done with all that it was time for brunch!
After we were done eating we sat in th lounge for a half hour wich was amusing because Josh was shure that when he helped clean the garage out that when he was moving the tin he would cut his arm off and they were saying how if they were at home they would come into the house and tease there moms with it anyways it was a dumb conversaton!
When we were done with our break Evie and I cleaned the public restrooms there was four of them so it took a little. After we were done with that we swept and dusted the public lounge and worked on the main entrance hallway sweeping it and such! After we were done with that the guys moved all the haevy tables into the gym so they could wax the floor! And they got the brilliant idea to have a water fight
while they were doing that Elana, Evie, Malinda and I washed all the folding chairs and the tables down. Then we moved the tables in the gym for supper! By the time we were done with that it was quitting time! We ate supper and then Lori, Evie and I went into the gym and tred getting the basketball into the net and we suceeded a few times!
Then Elana came to me and asked me if I wanted to have a discusion about some things and I was like shure (anytimeI can give my opinion without it getting me into trouble I am all for it) so we sat in the library for a good 2 hours and talked abot lots of things!
When we came out everyone was sitting in the lounge cause they couldn't play volleyball cause the tables were in the gym! So Kevin was like lets play a game so we played the name game where you put everyones name in a bucket and then mix them up and pass it around and get a name and the point is to call out a name and get all the guys standing/ or girls and those people win!!! that went on till snack time!
After snack I went up and got a shower and Lori and Evie followed me up and we talked till 1:30am!

Here's a fascinating miscellany of dog-related facts, figures, information, and
humor, combined with solid, practical information for dog owners on general care
and training of their pet. Readers will find stories about dogs who accompanied
soldiers on battlefields and still other canines who assisted rescue workers at
disaster sites. Here too are suggestions for all kinds of activities readers can
enjoy with their dogs, as well as jokes and cartoons about dogs, advice on how
to read a dog's body language, notes on the origins of breed names, and much
more. Dog Biz is strong on entertainment content, emphasizing the fun
that is part of dog ownership. The book is whimsical, as well, with items that
include a look at the coolest in canine fashions and thoughts on the art of
making a personalized doggy birthday card. This highly entertaining book is
packed with 400 color photos, drawings, and cartoons.

Book #1 Montana Rose
Left pregnant and widowed in the unforgiving west, Cassie is forced into an unwanted marriage to rancher Red Dawson.
No decent man could turn away from Cassie and leave her to the rough men in Divide, Montana. Red Dawson can't turn his back on the spoiled, snooty, beautiful woman. Now he's got himself a wife he's sure God never intended. And when he informs her there'll be no more silk dresses and she has to do some work around the ranch he's surprised she immediately tries to help with everything. Too bad she's a walking disaster. His ranch may not survive her efforts to pitch in.
Now, instead of a spoiled wife he's got himself an overly obedient and badly incompetent one, and poor Red is so charmed by her he can't bear to scold. He's not much for bossing people around, anyway.
While Red tries to survive Cassie's help and Cassie tries to use her own mind instead of meekly obeying for the first time in her life, an obsessed man plots to make Cassie his own, something he can't do as long as Red lives.
Montana Rose was actually inspired by Janette Oke's beautiful classic novel Love Comes Softly. Of course, I'm not Janette Oke (unfortunately for me) and my novel has taken an alarming turn to romantic comedy, suspense and chaos.
"Connealy's new series showcases her usual wit and charm, with a budding romance at the center of the story. The characters are easy
to like, even those who are plotting their own agenda."

Book #1: A vote of Confidence
Put up or shut up! Complaining about Bethlehem Springs' dissolute mayoral candidate, Gwen Arlington is challenged to take on the role herself. For seven years, she’s carved out an independent life in the bustling mountain town of Bethlehem Springs, Idaho, teaching piano and writing for the local newspaper. But now she’s a single woman running for mayor — and in 1915 this decision is bound to stir up trouble.
Morgan McKinley is fed up with the delays that hinder the construction of New Hope Health Spa, a place where both rich and poor can come for rest and healing. New to the area, he has determined that serving as mayor would help him push through his agenda for progress.
Gwen and Morgan each want to prove they are the most qualified candidate, not only to voters but to each other, and so sparks fly as the two campaign. Although Morgan has learned to guard his heart as fiercely as Gwen guards her independence, could they learn to be allies instead of adversaries?
This first book in the Sisters of Bethlehem Springs Series provides intriguing insights into how women challenged convention and shaped America in the early twentieth century.

Book # 2: Fit to Be tied
Cleo Arlington dresses like a cowboy, is fearless and fun-loving, and can ride, rope, and wrangle a horse as well as any man. In 1916, however, those talents aren’t what most young women aspire to. But Cleo isn’t most women. Twenty-nine years old and single, Cleo loves life on her father’s Idaho ranch. Still, she hopes someday to marry and have children.
Enter Sherwood Statham, an English aristocrat whose father has sentenced him to a year of work in America to “straighten him out.” Sherwood, who expected a desk job at a posh spa, isn’t happy to be stuck on an Idaho ranch. And he has no idea how to handle Cleo, who’s been challenged with transforming this uptight playboy into a down-home cowboy.
Just about everything either of them says or does leaves the other, well, fit to be tied. And though Cleo believes God’s plan for her includes a husband, it couldn’t possibly be Sherwood Statham. Could it?

Book # 3 A Matter Of Character
It's 1918, and Daphne McKinley, heiress to a small fortune, has found contentment in the town of Bethlehem Springs. But Daphne has a secret.
A series of dime novels loosely based on local lore and featuring a nefarious villain known as Rawhide Rick has enjoyed modest popularity among readers. Nobody in Bethlehem Springs knows the man behind the stories … except Daphne.
When newspaperman Joshua Crawford comes to town searching for the man who sullied the good name of his grandfather, Daphne finds herself at a crossroads, reassessing the power of her words, re-thinking how best to honor her gifts, and reconsidering what she wants out of life.

OUCH
Hoping and praying Matilda's foot doesn't get infected . I had taken her to the vet about two weeks ago cause she pulled a toenail out and I wanted to make shure she didn't hurt it worse than that.
Well it was doing fine until yesterday when I was getting her out and I notice the floor was covered in blood spots and her kwik was cut and bleeding
well I called the vet to see what I should do and they said clean it and put a sock on it and see what happens. I was like "yup that will stay on" (sarcasm) because I know my dog and she HATES things on her feet so I out the sock on and put vet wrap and wrapped her whole leg and foot. Well by this morning the sock had a hole in it.
So this morning I bought a cone to put around her neck and hopefully it comes soon! I am going to either have to keepp her on the porch or in the house because she can't come in from her run into the dog barn because her door is to small! So we shall see!

DAY 7, LAST DAY
Jesus
said,
Revelation
3:20a "Behold
I stand at the door and knock, if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I
will come in to him..."
- Is Jesus
knocking on your heart's door?
Believe
in Him.
Ask Him
to come in to your heart by faith,
and ask
Him to reveal Himself to you.
Open the
Bible to the Gospel of John and read what God says about Jesus,
about
you, and about being born again.
God will
help you. He loves you.
You need
to look for a local church where
God's
word is preached. The Bible says that we are to desire
God's
word like a newborn baby desires mother's milk.
Aren't
you hungry to know the truth?
Water
baptism is one of the ways you first show that
you have
been joined to Jesus. This is an action, and actions will not save you.
However, it is an act of obedience and a symbol of commitment.
The
symbolism is this:
When you
go down in the water you show that
You have
been crucified and buried with Him,
And when
you come up out of the water you show that
you have
been raised to walk with Him in newness of life.
(See
Romans chapter 6)
You have
been born again.
(See John
chapter 3)
Your body
has become God's temple.
Your
heart is where He lives.
Forgiveness
is yours in Jesus.
And you
belong to Him.
You were sin's
slave.
But
now...
You are a child of GOD!
John 1:12
"As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of
God, even to those who believe in His name!"

Saturday August 4, 2012
Today the Lebanon County youth went to Washington D.C. to spend a day there! It was alot of fun! Yeah we had to get up at 4:45 in the morning to make it so we could spend a good amount of time and even though it still didn't seem long enough! First of all we all hopped into the three vans that were there and started out in our van we listened to a story not shure what the title but it was really good!
When we arrived there we all got out and Kevin and Katrina explained where we were to meet and what staion of the Metro to get off (kinda like a subway) so we all started out at the same station but we went our own seperate ways we had to be in groups of four.
Our group started out we planned to go to the zoo and the American History Museum wich is part of the Smithoneon! The zoo was so much un I got to see some animals I have wanted to see for a very long time! Elaphants, zebras, cheetas, lions, tigers, monkeys, and many more oh it was SO hot but it was oh so worth ever mile we walked yes I said miles we probably walked 7 to 8 miles if not more we walked or rode the metro every where we went it was a good city expierence!
The museum was lots of fun we got to see all the first ladies inagural gowns and they were so pretty! It would have been boring to anyone who doesn't like history but I love seeing old things so it was awsome I especially love seeing old clothing and there was an abundance there so it was a hay day for me!
some of the dresses!!All in all it was a tiring but FUN day! My feet still hurt LOL!
DAY 6
Romans
10:9,10 "...If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your
heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the
heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses,
resulting in salvation."
- If you
know that God is knocking on your heart's door,
ask Him to
come into your heart.

DAY 5
Romans
10:13 "Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved!"
- Call out
to God in the name of Jesus!
Saturday, August 4, 2012
DAY 4
Romans
5:8, "God demonstrates His own love for us, in
that
while we were yet sinners Christ died for us!"
When
Jesus died on the cross He paid sin's penalty. He paid the price for all sin,
and when He took all the sins of the world on Himself on the cross, He bought us
out of slavery to sin and death! The only condition is that we believe in Him
and what He has done for us, understanding that we are now joined with Him, and
that He is our life. He did all this because He loved us and gave Himself for
us!
- Give your
life to God... His love poured out in Jesus on the cross is your only hope to
have forgiveness and change. His love bought you out of being a slave to sin.
His love is what saves you -- not religion, or church membership. God loves
you!

DAY 3
Romans
6:23b "...But the gift of God is eternal
life
through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Salvation is a free gift
from God to you! You can't
earn this
gift, but you must reach out and receive it.
- Ask God
to forgive you and save you.

DAY 2
Romans
6:23a "...The wages of sin is death..."
Sin has an ending. It results in death. We all face physical death, which is a result of sin. But a worse death is spiritual death that alienates us from God, and will last for all eternity. The Bible teaches that there is a place called the Lake of Fire where lost people will be in torment forever. It is the place where people who are spiritually dead will remain.
- Understand that you deserve death for your sin.
