Great is Thy Faithfulness!

Great is Thy Faithfulness”
Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father;
There is no shadow of turning with Thee;
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not;
As Thou hast been, Thou forever will be.
[Refrain]
Great is Thy faithfulness!
Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see.
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided;
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!

Summer and winter and springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.

[Refrain]

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth
Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide;
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!

How often do you take the  time to look back on your life and thank God for his amazing faithfulness in your life? This past weekend I was in VA visiting some very good friends of mine and we were discussing life and what God has done for us in the past and how those past experiences have prepared us for the trials we are facing today.

In the beginning of this year I went through one of the hardest trials in my life thus far and I struggled very hard to see God’s love at work in my life, but from previous experience I knew that He is good and He is always at work in my life for my good and for His glory.

The lyrics that are written above are thanking God for His faithfulness in  the midst of every season of life, whether it was a time of want or a time of plenty God wants us to thank and praise Him. But how in the midst of a trial when we are already struggling to breathe do we sing a song of praise? We remember that God is faithful. Always. And that He promised we would never walk alone. Always remember he is there with you in the middle of the storm.

So go out this week, Praise Him because He is good, and because He loves you always. And most of all for His Faithfulness!!

Until Next Time
